Our team offers expert care in a way that is unique to you. Our aged care is unique to one's needs, ebbing and flowing as needed. We have seen the stress it causes when one's needs increase but your home can't evolve to accompany this. We've made sure this isn't the case at Brooklands, your home stays the same we adapt to meet the needs. 

Personalised Care Plans

We’re proud to deliver an aged care experience of the highest quality. But we know that no one is more of an expert in what you need than you. So together with you and your family, we develop Personalised Care Plans. These detailed plans include your likes and dislikes across 18 key aspects, from medical history and risk of falls to family relationships, culture, and spirituality. Updated every six months, they enable us to provide the best care suited to you.

Levels Of Care

Brooklands Care Group offers a full range of accommodation and care options, from rest home and hospital level care right through to dementia, respite and palliative. These broad offerings allow for easy adaption to change of circumstance for residents, allowing them to continue their care journey all in one place.

Rest Home Care

Our rest homes cater to those who are mostly independent but may require some assistance with personal care and general day-to-day activities.

Get Started With Care Services

  • How do I apply for care?

    If you wish to apply for a Residential Care Subsidy, you’ll require a needs assessment to be completed by the DHB Needs Assessment team. You can ask your GP for an assessment referral, or you can contact your local service via the NASC website at

  • How much does care cost?

    The amount you pay for Aged Residential Care Services is set by the District Health Board (DHB), rather than the individual facilities. This means that all Care Centres within a region charge the same amount for a standard room. Hospital and Dementia care does cost more than Rest Home level care; however, the Ministry of Health covers these additional costs, so they are not passed on to you.

  • Can I decorate my room?

    Yes. This is your own private space and it’s important you feel at home, so why not personalise it with your own pictures and ornaments? We can provide furniture, but you might like to bring your favourite chair, side table and bedspread. Please ensure all electrical items you bring in with you have been certified and tagged as safe by an electrician before you move in. Alternatively, our maintenance team may be able to do this for you, but there could be an extra charge for this service.

  • How do you keep track of my care needs?

    We use laptops and tablets for medication and progress notes, so our nursing staff know what you need and when you need it. Regular assessments of care are completed at least twice a year, and more often as your care needs change.

  • Who takes care of my medication?

    All medication, including over-the-counter drugs, are managed by our nursing team and overseen by our contracted GP or nurse practitioner. These nurses arrange prescriptions and organise medication with our contracted pharmacies.
