About Us
Brooklands Care Group
At Brooklands Care Group, we believe that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. Our homes—Brooklands Rest Home and Memory Care, Brooklands Care on Timandra, and Brooklands Cottage Care—offer a personalised approach to care that celebrates individuality and fosters a sense of community.
Our Mission
Is to provide quality and comfortable rest home and dementia care to those looking for both short-term and long-term care solutions. Our philosophy believes that every human being deserves the opportunity to grow, regardless of age or ailment.
Brooklands Care Group creates a culture for all residents including those living with Dementia by embracing and respecting the individual reality of each person who lives with us. Staff honour the resident's experiences. The normalisation of 'life' is what defines the Brooklands Care Group Culture creating an environment where social stigmas regarding illnesses are lessened. Such normalisation allows for continued growth and preservation of resident's dignity and the continued development of personal relationships among peers and staff.
" Genuine care requires us to recognise within each beating heart the need to grow, within each weakened limb the yearning for action, within each mind the desire to do as well as be " (Thomas 1994)

Yes, we know this sounds a little like a hotel or a top-notch buffet but we assure you this is in fact an (exceptional) rest home.
Gardens and Outdoor Areas
Nature is a wonderful medicine, be it the opportunity to feel the wind on one's face, soil on one's hands or the opportunity to just be surrounded by the ever-changing seasons.
*Brooklands outdoor areas have been designed to use every metre of space to maximise the residents’ experiences. The gardens are flat and easily visible from the open-plan lounge/dining room area, and residents can freely wander outside, where they can enjoy nature and undertake typical garden activities, such as mowing and raking.
The outdoor areas are a peaceful space to sit amongst the plants and listen to the birdlife from the adjacent park. Offering residents the opportunity to enhance their creative side for those with green fingers keen on tending the flowers and potted plants. The area offers an enjoyable activity as well as a sense of purpose for those with a creative flair to build such items as bird feeders and other outdoor crafts. This aims to boost feelings of self-worth and usefulness, as well as encourage them to recall skills they have learned from their past. Stylish comfortable outdoor furniture offers a pleasant spot for residents to sit and relax. Raised garden boxes are a popular activity for growing flowers and vegetables attended to by our residents who take great delight in the vegetables being supplied to the kitchen.

Testimonials
VIVIEN C.
Wow this place has most amazing caring staff who treat all the residents with respect. My Dad has Dementia and is lucky enough to live in their Memory Care Lane. It feels like someone’s home, with creature comforts and decorated interior is of highest quality. It’s like going to visit your aged parent at their very own home. They interact with my dad who is profoundly deaf by communicating with a white board. Dads last resthome did minimum cares and never interacted with him as a person. Dad loves it here, tells us he has a real comfy bed and is his cheeky self again. He hasn’t lost his sense of humour. And he sings, always humming or singing which he never did before Dementia. So our family is super happy because we can see the change in Dad and know everyone who is caught singing, must be happy.

I’m really impressed with the level of care that my parents get from the Staff. They seem genuinely interested in making sure that they’re both comfortable. It must be difficult to deal with my Dads dementia. The Staff are very understanding with how he reacts to different situations and seem to deal with it very well, and in a professional manner. I really like that he can dish his meals up for himself, and is free to walk around in his area. I think it helps a lot that each room in Memory Lane is different from one another. It makes it easier for Dad to know which room is his. My Mum is unwell, and I find Staff have been amazing at checking on her regularly to make sure that she’s OK. It has made it alot easier for Mum to settle into her new Home, and feel comfortable with the Staff. She has been very happy that she can personalise her room, and she is always commenting on how lovely the meals are.
